Objectives: Introducing a new technique, combining liposuction, lipectomy and muscle plication, to reduce submental fullness and improve jawline Introduction: With the rise of social media, youngsters have become increasingly strict about their appearance. It’s not just about having a small, V-shaped face; it must also have a sharp, and well-defined jawline without submental fullness. Materials / method: Liposuction for the double-chin is nothing new, but due to the composition of submental fat, liposuction alone does not yield optimal results. Therefore, we used a multifaceted approach to address the excessive fat, muscle laxity and skin redundancy simultaneously. Results: Over the past 3 and half year, I’ve performed Swanneck operation on nearly 500 patients. Surprisingly, more than one-third of them were male and Only 40% were fresh cases. The other 60% had received liposuction or injection before. Some had undergone bone contour surgery and others came to us after massive weight loss. The majority of patients were satisfied with the result and no major complications were noted. Conclusion: Swan-neck operation is a powerful and versatile procedure to improve lower facial contour.
