The fusion concept for asian V-shaping: integrating injectable RF, RF microneedling, fillers, and threads for structural neck and jawline rejuvenation
Objectives: To demonstrate a reproducible and safe multimodal protocol combining injectable radiofrequency, bipolar RF-assisted lipolysis (RFAL), RF microneedling, fillers, and threads for achieving a natural V-shaped contour in East Asian patients. Attendees will learn anatomical considerations, stepwise sequencing, energy-based optimization, and combination strategies to enhance lower-face tightening and cervicomandibular definition with minimal downtime.
Introduction: East Asian patients often present with structural heaviness, shorter mandibles, and early cervicomental blunting. Conventional fillers or threads alone may lead to bulkiness or short-term results. Bipolar RFAL introduced controlled thermal contraction, while newer injectable RF and RF microneedling expand the precision of energy delivery. Integrating these technologies with volumetric and suspension techniques allows synergistic tightening and contour harmonization tailored to the Asian facial morphology.
Materials / method: A prospective case series of 219 East Asian patients (ages 26–58) was treated with a defined sequence: injectable RF (FaceTite/AccuTite) for subdermal contraction, followed by RF microneedling for dermal remodeling, HA and CaHa fillers for contour refinement, and PDO threads for vectoral lift.
Results: Aesthetic improvement: Mean GAIS = 3.03 (“much improved”); conversion of 85 % of pre‑op Knize II–III necks to grade I–II profiles. Patient satisfaction: 93.9 % rated the result “good–excellent” at 6 months. Safety: No hematoma, infection, seroma, or permanent nerve injury. Minor events comprised 5.7 % first/second‑degree burns and 3.9 % transient marginal‑mandibular neuropraxia, all resolving without sequelae.
Conclusion: The described multimodal protocol combining injectable radiofrequency, bipolar RF-assisted lipolysis (RFAL), RF microneedling, fillers, and threads significantly improved the refinement of lower face contouring in Eastern Asian subjects. The simple, minimally invasive cervical procedure under local anesthesia improve the cervical-mental angle definition, tissue-tightening effect, face slimming, and the mandibular line. No serious adverse events except mild complications were reported. This treatment could achieve extraordinary results with a high safety profile.
