Management of melasma on darker skin type
Objectives: Management of Melasma involves a multimodal approach targeting pigment reduction and recurrence prevention.Topical agents like hydroquinone, retinoids and topical steroids remain first line of therapy,however with its limitations in long term management and potential side effects.Peels of different kinds,EBDs have been used with reasonable success in management of Melasma,however few long term treatment modalities exists and this talk is about the possible long term management options without significant potential side effects.
