Triple-layer energy-based rejuvenation for structural skin longevity: a prospective 3D quantitative study in early aging cohort with 1-month objective outcomes
Objectives: To evaluate early lifting, firmness, contour, and skin quality changes following triple-layer EBD therapy in an early aging cohort using quantitative 3D imaging within 1 month.
Introduction: Facial aging is a multi-layer degenerative process involving dermal matrix breakdown and SMAS laxity. Single-modality energy-based devices provide depth-limited effects. A multi-layer approach may better support structural skin longevity and early regenerative responses, particularly in prejuvenation.
Materials / method: This prospective study included 20 subjects (aged 25–40 years) with mild skin laxity. All had stable weight and no prior energy-based treatments, fillers, or botulinum toxin within 6 months. Participants received a single-session triple-layer therapy: MMFU-MP (SMAS, deep dermis), monopolar RF (deep dermis, subcutaneous tissue), and microneedle RF (superficial-to-mid dermis). Assessments at baseline, Day 14, and 1 month included 3D imaging and quantitative skin analysis. Safety was monitored.
Results: All subjects completed the study with no serious adverse events. Early improvements in firmness and contour were observed by Day 14. At 1 month, peak effects included volumetric lifting, dermal tightening, and improvements in wrinkle depth, pore size, and skin texture. 3D analysis confirmed consistent multi-layer remodeling and enhanced biomechanical skin properties in most subjects.
Conclusion: Triple-layer EBD therapy produced significant early structural and dermal improvements in an early aging cohort within 1 month. This multimodal approach enables synergistic remodeling across tissue layers and supports biomechanical integrity, aligning with skin longevity principles. Early quantitative outcomes suggest its role as an effective non-surgical strategy for prejuvenation and regenerative skin optimization.
