Longevity interrupted. Checkmate by a protean invisible enemy
目标: This presentation explores longevity from the perspective of Proteostasis, oxidative damage and inflammaging, systemic energy supply and mitochondria integrity, epigenetics and their role in gene expression, and proteomics. The role played by several biomechanisms like autophagy, and inherent resonances interconnecting reparative and compensatory mechanisms are examined in terms of their contribution in longevity and life extension. Understanding the mechanisms that compromise or enhance longevity are crucial in developing wellness treatments designed to extend life.
介绍: Longevity is interrupted by a number of processes
1. The inner perspective of inflammatory processes persisting after their purpose has been fulfilled
2. Oxidative damage caused by reactive oxygen species (ROS) inducing DNA mutations and DNA base modification with deleterious consequences in the in the production of proteins in the cytoplasm, which may be end up carrying distorted or nonsense information, disorganizing and unbalancing the Proteostasis network speeding up aging and sabotaging gene expression
材料 / 方法: 3. It explores epigenetics and how epigenetic marks (like DNA methylation or histone modification) stick to the DNA to tell the cell whether to read or ignore a specific gene.
4. It explores proteomics and the complete evaluation of the function and structure of proteins in their folded or denatured states and how these affect the fate of an organism.
5. Autophagy and other bio-mechanisms can protect the system
6. Interconnecting bioresonances can mobilize reparative and compensatory mechanisms that moderate processes, which aimslessly continue after their purpose has been fulfilled.
结果: Understanding the mechanisms that compromise or enhance longevity are crucial in developing wellness treatments designed to extend life. Most current technologies aim at visible skin deep beauty with no deeper concern of the unseen. Aging is not programmed. There are ways to significantly delay the aging process by overcoming biological rigidity
总结: Rigidity is biological inertia—a measure of the body’s tendency to resist change by either allowing the indefinite continuation of aimless process which persist beyond the point of fulfilling their purposes; alternatively the body’s tendency to remain static and inert, instead of initiate a new process that could solve a number of health issues. This biological inertia which should be overcome is illustrated by George Martin’s words of wisdom: “The brightest flame casts the darkest shadow?” An exploration of different aging theories, programmed, stochastic and quasi-programmed is offered
