Introduction: The “Ozempic Face” phenomenon has emerged as a growing concern in aesthetic dermatology, closely linked to the increasing popularity of GLP-1 receptor agonists such as Ozempic and Wegovy for weight loss. First highlighted in popular media, the term refers to the facial volume loss and accelerated aging appearance observed in individuals undergoing rapid weight reduction with these blockbuster drugs.
Materials / method: A retrospective observational analysis was conducted on patients undergoing GLP-1-induced weight loss who sought dermatological consultation for facial volume loss. Clinical data were collected on:
Rate of weight loss and its correlation with the severity of facial aging.
Skin elasticity and volume loss assessment using standardized dermatological grading scales.
Interventions performed, including dermal fillers, biostimulatory agents, fat grafting, and skin tightening procedures.
Patient satisfaction scores post-treatment.
