At IMCAS, innovation is not an adjunct to the scientific program - it is a strategic pillar. IMCAS World 2026 reaffirmed and expanded this commitment, elevating its role as a global accelerator for transformative ideas in medical aesthetics with a decisive step forward.

Alongside the 9th edition of the Innovation Tank, IMCAS introduced the inaugural IMCAS Industry Innovation Awards, broadening its platform to recognize not only emerging disruptors but also established companies driving measurable progress across the sector.

The Innovation Tank

The Innovation Tank, a signature session of IMCAS World, has become a global benchmark for early-stage excellence in medical aesthetics. This high-exposure pitching platform gives start-ups direct access to physicians, distributors, key opinion leaders, and investors actively seeking the next wave of clinical and technological breakthroughs.

In its 9th edition, twelve finalists - carefully selected from a competitive international pool - presented solutions addressing real-world clinical challenges and market needs. Each pitch was evaluated for scientific rigor, scalability, differentiation, and practical impact.

The competition culminated with the awarding of the IMCAS Start-Up of the Year, an industry-recognized mark of credibility and momentum. While all finalists demonstrated exceptional promise, the podium highlighted the projects that best embodied IMCAS' vision: innovation grounded in science, designed for practice, and ready for global adoption.

All finalists received structured visibility through a live presentation to the IMCAS audience and inclusion in the Global Market Summit program, placing their innovations at the center of industry discussions. The three top-ranked start-ups gained additional international exposure through IMCAS social media, a newsletter feature, and this very IMCAS Academy Blog article.

Finally, the Start-Up of the Year received a comprehensive growth package, including a booth and speaking opportunities at IMCAS World Congress 2027, a presentation at the Dermatology Innovation Forum hosted by Advancing Innovation in Dermatology, and 50,000 euros in consulting services from Benoit Chardon Consulting.

Through this tiered recognition system, IMCAS ensures that innovation is not only rewarded but amplified, sustained, and integrated into the global aesthetics landscape.

Runner-up: Syntr Health Technologies

Syntr Health has developed an FDA-cleared robotic system that automates fat tissue processing for reconstructive and regenerative procedures. It purifies and microsizes fat at a fraction of the time required by current technologies and surgical methods, replacing manual, variable workflows while increasing cell yields and preserving regenerative cells in a standardized and reproducible manner. The platform has been used in facial fat volume restoration, breast reconstruction and augmentation, chronic wound care, and orthopedic surgery, supporting durable results and high patient and clinician satisfaction.

Runner-up: Mallia Aesthetics

Mallia Aesthetics develops scientifically sound new products to support hair growth and regeneration. With 8T3 Essentials, Mallia Aesthetics is opening a new category of cosmetic care: targeted applications that act directly on the hair follicles for regeneration, structural reinforcement, and growth-promoting activation. Whether for the scalp, eyelashes, or eyebrows, 8T3 supports natural processes from within, delivering visibly healthy, stronger results.

2026 Start-Up of the Year: Rapalogix Health

Ageing reduces biological activity of fibroblasts, compromising their ability to maintain skin health. Anti-aging interventions stimulate these compromised fibroblasts, causing further cellular stress & exhaustion. RLX-201, a rapamycin analog, induces cellular repair of exhausted fibroblasts into a younger, more active phenotype via TORC1 inhibition, clinically resulting in rapid & significant improvements in skin elasticity & other skin quality parameters.

Through this session, IMCAS continues to position itself as a catalyst - connecting innovation to validation, visibility, and commercial opportunity within a curated, high-level ecosystem...and it does not stop here.

The Industry Innovation Awards

In 2026, IMCAS extended its innovation framework with the launch of the IMCAS Industry Innovation Awards, also integrated into the Global Market Summit. This new initiative acknowledges that breakthrough progress also emerges from established leaders investing in advanced R&D, disruptive technologies, and visionary market strategies.

Open to IMCAS sponsors, the Awards invited companies to submit their most impactful innovations - whether technological, procedural, digital, or strategic. Following a rigorous review by the IMCAS Scientific Committee, ten shortlisted candidates were selected to present live before an expert jury composed of physicians and senior industry stakeholders.

Evaluation criteria emphasized scientific validity, differentiation, clinical relevance, scalability, and measurable market impact. The result was a dynamic showcase of forward-thinking initiatives redefining standards across the aesthetic industry.

The inaugural Innovation of the Year award recognized the company whose project most convincingly aligned scientific excellence with transformative potential.

Runner-up: MiraLine PLLA 28 by Lotos United

MiraLine PLLA 28 is an innovative collagen stimulator containing precisely formulated 150 mg of PLLA and 50 mg of sodium CMC. The product's unique particle technology features spherical particles that ensure optimal biocompatibility and predictable results. The innovation addresses skin aging by activating natural collagen production through controlled release of PLLA particles. The product's formulation prevents particle aggregation and ensures uniform distribution, leading to consistent stimulation of fibroblast activity and collagen synthesis.

Runner-up: Profhilo Structura by IBSA Group

Profhilo Structura is the first injectable specifically designed to target facial adipose tissue remodeling, addressing age-related fat atrophy rather than volume replacement. Based on NAHYCO Hybrid Technology, it combines high- and low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid to restore tissue quality, elasticity, and structural support. Profhilo Structura introduces a regenerative approach to facial aging, repositioning injectables from filling to true biological stimulation.

2026 Innovation of the Year: Revanesse Revise+ by Prollenium

Revanesse Revise+ is a next-generation hyaluronic acid filler specifically developed for the treatment of delicate facial areas, including the tear trough. Its advanced formulation is designed to minimize swelling while maintaining optimal softness, allowing for smooth integration within thin tissues. The gel's low extrusion force and carefully refined rheological properties provide enhanced control during injection, supporting safer, more predictable procedures and delivering natural-looking aesthetic outcomes.

Conclusion: A Reinforced Commitment to Innovation Leadership

By giving the spotlight to both emerging start-ups and established industry leaders, IMCAS World 2026 demonstrated a coherent and ambitious strategy: to serve as the definitive global stage for advancement in medical aesthetics.

From early-stage disruption to mature technological breakthroughs, IMCAS continues to curate, validate, and amplify the innovations shaping the future of the field. In doing so, it strengthens its position not only as a congress, but as a driving force behind the evolution of the global aesthetic ecosystem.
