The following article, originally published in the Aesthetic Appointment Journal, explores the concept, mechanism, and applications of virtual mesotherapy. Virtual Mesotherapy is a needle free mesotherapy, although it offers similar results to conventional mesotherapy, which as per Wikipedia definition "employs multiple injections of pharmaceutical and homeopathic medications, plant extracts, vitamins, and other ingredients into subcutaneous fat".

It's a relatively new technology based on the 'electroporation' technique of applying active ingredients and meso cocktails into the skin. Electroporation is a technique in which an electrical field is applied to cells in order to increase the permeability of the cell membrane, allowing chemicals, drugs and nutrients to be introduced into the cells.

This no-needle mesotherapy provides a non-invasive transdermal delivery of nutrients and active substances and eliminates unwanted side effects that conventional needle mesotherapy has. The unique advantage of the technique is that it delivers substances into the skin at hypodermal and dermal levels without causing any damage and injury to the epidermis.
