Dr. Kachiu Cecilia Lee, MD MPH is in private practice at the Main Line Center for Laser Surgery in Philadelphia, PA USA. She is also an Assistant Professor in the Department of Dermatology at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. She is an internationally recognized speaker in chemical peels, lasers, and botulinum and filler injections.  Since 2016, her basic science and clinical research into chemical peel formulations have resulted in safer treatment options, especially for people of color. She also serves as the principal investigator for several clinical trials investigating the use of ground-breaking laser technologies, fillers, and chemical peels. Because of her recognized expertise, she has served as an expert speaker for the FDA/Center for Devices and Radiological Health and has been a featured speaker on Sirius Radio XM. 

Dr. Lee is the author of over 120 peer-reviewed, PubMed-indexed manuscripts in journals such as Journal of Investigative Dermatology Innovations, Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Lasers in Surgery and Medicine, JAMA Dermatology, and Dermatologic Surgery. She serves on the board of directors of the Women’s Dermatologic Society, American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, International Peeling Society-USA (President). She authors the FirstAid USMLE Step 2 CK and FirstAid USMLE Step 3 books, used by thousands of medical students to study for their licensing exams.

Dr. Lee received her B.A summa cum laude and MD from Northwestern University. She completed her dermatology residency at Brown University, where she served as Chief Resident and was awarded the Haffenraffer Housestaff Award in recognition of her efforts above and beyond for providing excellent patient care. After residency, she joined the Wellman Center for Photomedicine at Massachusetts General Hospital / Harvard Medical School, where she completed a photomedicine fellowship in lasers and light-based energy devices. In her free time, Dr. Lee enjoys hiking and spending time with her 3 young children.
