Dr Mark Magnusson is in private practice and has been working as a Plastic Surgeon in Toowoomba, Queensland, since 2001. He is driven by an interest in achieving excellence through learning and teaching. He has a special interest in the anatomy of facial ageing and the interactions between surgical and nonsurgical facial rejuvenation, aesthetic and reconstructive surgery of the breast, body contouring, and facial skin cancer excision and reconstruction. Dr Magnusson is sought after to speak internationally as well as in Australia. Dr Mark Magnusson is the current Vice President and also Chairman of Education for the Australasian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS). In this role he is the scientific chairman for the annual scientific meetings run by the Society including the Non-Surgical Symposium (NSS) and Annual ASAPS Conference (Aesthetic Surgical Meeting). He is an active International Member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, American Society of Plastic Surgeons, International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Dr Mark Magnusson is involved in teaching applied anatomy to plastic surgical peers and across the range of practitioners involved in aesthetic medicine. He is on Faculty for the Melbourne Advanced Facial Anatomy Course (MAFAC) run by Bryan Mendelson for Plastic Surgeons which is also taught at The Aesthetic Meeting (Annual Meeting of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery). Dr Magnusson also convenes the ASAPS Anatomy and Live Injecting Workshop. This workshop is open to plastic surgeons, dermatologists, cosmetic doctors and nurses concentrating on anatomy relevant to non-surgical rejuvenation methods and ageing. Dr Mark Magnusson is a luminary for Coolsculpting and on Faculty for the Allergan Academy Asia Pacific.
