Norbert Kiss, MD, PhD is a consultant dermatologist, assistant professor and head of the inpatient dermatology unit at the Department of Dermatology, Dermatooncology and Venerology, Semmelweis University, Budapest, Hungary. Dr. Kiss currently supervises the work of 6 PhD fellows and 8 undergraduate researchers. His clinical work focuses on the treatment of inflammatory skin conditions, skin cancer and chronic leg ulcers. Dr. Kiss has been awarded the Michael Hornstein Memorial Scholarship of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology and the Merit Award of the Faculty of Medicine, Semmelweis University and achieved national 1st price at the Falling Walls Lab competition. His main research topics are the application of novel noninvasive skin imaging techniques, investigation of the role of the microbiome in skin diseases and also psychodermatology. He has published more than 90 scientific articles, and gave multiple oral presentations at the top dermatological conferences, including the World Congress of Dermatology, the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology and the European Society for Dermatological Research meetings.
