Agneta TROILIUS RUBIN Prof

Associate Professor Agneta Troilius Rubin received her medical training at the University of Lund and at the 
University of Karolinska in Stockholm. She is specialised in Dermatology, Venereology and Laser Surgery and is 
the Head of the Laser and Vascular Anomaly Center at the Skåne University Hospital in Malmoe, Sweden. She 
has been working with all kinds of lasers (vascular, pigment, tattoo, hair, and Erbium / CO2 lasers) since 1987 
and intense pulsed light sources since 1996. Her thesis was in lasers and capillary malformations with the title 
“Characterisation and Treatment of Patients with Port Wine Stains with Special Reference to the Emotional 
Impact”. She is chairing a Multidisciplinary Vascular Malformation and Tumour group since 1994. 
Since the beginning of the nineties she has been an active speaker at national and international congresses 
especially ISDS, ASLMS, EADV, ESLD, ISSVA, SSDV, WCD and many more. Helped to start the European 
Society for Laser in Dermatology and has been in the board since then and are an Honorary member. 
In 2007 Dr Troilius Rubin started a private clinic treating cosmetic lesions as well. 
Dr Troilius Rubin has published > 42 scientifc papers and 17 book chapters and is active as referee in scientifc 
papers. Her research is still focused on lasers and intense pulse light sources and their development. Lecturing 
regularly nationally and internationally both for students and doctors and organised her own Scandinavian Laser 
Workshops. Former congress president of ISSVA IX workshop in Malmö, Sweden June 2012. Former President 
of NSVA. And former active member of the Swedish Society of Dermato Surgery and Oncology
