Dennis J HURWITZ Prof.

Dennis J. Hurwitz, MD, FACS, is Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical School. He found the Craniofacial Surgery program in 1978 and is past medical director of the University Cleft Palate/ Craniofacial Center. He has participated in the training of over 130 residents, culminating in the 2005 Faculty Teaching Award. Dr. Hurwitz is a Clinical Editor of the Aesthetic Surgery Journal, and section editor for Body Contouring Surgery for the Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Journal. He has authored over 160 scientific papers and book chapters. In 2014, Springer, Germany publishes his single author text, Comprehensive Body Contouring: Theory and Practice.
