Abstract

Objectives: BellyPenoplasty® is an original, innovative and effective penoplasty technique for erection. Introduction: Indeed, current penile lengthening techniques are disappointing - including the most common one which associates section of the suspensory ligament of the penis and skin plasty - because they only offer an improvement on the flaccid penis, which generally does not meet the wishes of candidates for penoplasty, since their main motivation is the search for an improvement in their sexual performance, which presupposes lengthening during erection. Materials / method: The critical analysis of current surgical concepts allows us to question them and this new light has led the author to conceive this technique of lengthening the penis in erection, the BellyPenoplasty®. Results: Thus, contrary to the generally accepted ideas, we demonstrate several essential points. 1- It is not necessary to lengthen the corpora cavernosa to lengthen the erect penis. 2- Current techniques only produce a dorsal lengthening and are only evaluated with measurements of the dorsal side of the penis - at rest, in erection or in maximum traction- but never with measurements of the ventral side, ignored by anatomists and neglected by surgeons. 3- The ventral length is essential. It is the functional length since it determines the extent of penetration during intimate relations. Conclusion: We present here the technique and results of BellyPenoplasty® which, depending on the case, associates various gestures to transpose the peno-scrotal junction in order to obtain a real functional lengthening during erection.
