Objectives: The primary objective of this presentation is to provide a comprehensive overview of filler injections concerning facial anatomy. This includes elucidating the anatomical considerations, outlining the various types of fillers used, assessing their mechanisms of action, and discussing the associated complications and safety measure Introduction: Filler injections have gained widespread popularity in cosmetic dermatology and plastic surgery for facial rejuvenation. Understanding the intricate facial anatomy is crucial for safe and effective filler placement. This review aims to delve into the key anatomical structures pertinent to filler injections, such as muscles, blood vessels, nerves, and fat compartments. Moreover, it aims to highlight the importance of anatomical knowledge in minimizing adverse events and achieving optimal aesthetic outcomes. Materials / method: A systematic search of databases including PubMed, MEDLINE, and scholarly articles was conducted using keywords related to filler injections and facial anatomy.
