Complications with hyaluronic acid fillers - vascular compression - from tissue suffering to a complete necrosis
Objectives: to recognize, treat and monitor an ischemic tissue
Introduction: how to assess a suffering tissue from pending ischemia to a complete necrosis of the tissue. the management of a patient in different stages of ischemiafrom vascular congestion, tissue pallor and obvious necrosis. the role of hyaluronidase and other treatment
Materials / method: 15 patients with pending ischemia in the chin area - tissue congestion, redness and pain, tip of the nose and nasolabial folds
all treated with hyaluronidase in different doses in correlation to the ischemic stage (congestion, pallor and necrosis)
Results: complete resolution of tissue damage in all cases and in all stages of the ischemia, treated with 500 to 4500 units of HYALASE and complementary treatment
Conclusion: although the treatment with hyalase demonstrated good results, the importance of prompt diagnosis and treatment is crucial in saving the tissue
pending ischemia should be treated with high doses of hyalase
