I am utilizing hydroquinone for over 40 years with no complications when patients abide by the guideline given to them. I work in the GCC and we have extensive amounts of vascular melasma. mainly in females. With respect to Kligman compound, it is not suitable for our Arab & I am sure for Latin population because tretinoin cause irritation. I omitted isotretinoin from my compounds & we utilize peeling when whether is moderate. The concentration of hydroquinone that I utilize is 6% & always with ascorbyl palmitate even if I compound it in vitamin C micronized cosmeceutical. A study by WHO in 1996 gave me confidence that all gossips against hydroquinone was commercially motivated...please all read this article & should be distribute to all dermatologists in tropical or semi tropical areas https://iris.who.int/bitstream/handle/10665/38140/924151101X-eng.pdfareas =>
