Abstract

Objectives: This novel technology of finger held ultrasound probe can make injection safer. Can detect arteries of the face using simultaneous HA filler injection. Will show video of doppler ultrasound guided injection. Introduction: Recently, the development of an ultrasound device connected to a finger probe has enabled real-time ultrasound-guided filler injection. This study aimed to assess patient satisfaction following the use of a novel, real-time finger probe ultrasound as a guide for filler injections. Materials / method: Finger held ultrasound probe was attached to the fourth finger of the left hand, and Lorient No. 4 hyaluronic acid filler was injected with the right hand. The study was involved with 23 patients, and two weeks post-treatment, 65.2% (15/23) of patients responded with 'Very Satisfied,' while 34.8% (8/23) of patients responded with 'Satisfied.' Results: From December 3, 2024, to February 15, 2025, a total of 23 patients (20 female, 3 male, average 50.4 years old) underwent treatment for nasolabial folds, with an average injection of 0.9 ml (0.5 ~ 1.5) of hyaluronic acid filler on the left side and 0.865 ml (0.5 ~ 1.5) of hyaluronic acid filler on the right side. Conclusion: This cutting-edge ultrasound technology can make ultrasound-guided hyaluronic acid filler injection safer because the vasculature can be seen during injection. Avoiding injection into the artery is the most important risk mitigation strategy for hyaluronic acid-induced vascular complications.
