Harmonious lips through regenerative aesthetic medicine
Objectives: This presentation aims to provide practitioners with a practical and evidence-based understanding of modern lip rejuvenation and augmentation. Attendees will learn how to combine HA fillers for volumization and contouring, BoNT-A for muscular modulation, and HTIC for regenerative biostimulation in order to achieve natural, harmonious, and long-lasting results. The session also aims to enhance understanding of patient selection, individualized treatment planning, and combination protocols that optimize both lip aesthetics and perioral skin quality.
Introduction: Modern lip aesthetics has evolved beyond simple volumization toward regenerative, anatomically guided treatments focused on harmony and natural expression. This presentation explores lip augmentation using hyaluronic acid (HA), botulinum toxin type A (BoNT-A), and Heterologous Type I Collagen (HTIC). Special emphasis is placed on HTIC as a biostimulatory approach to improve dermal quality, restore perioral architecture, and enhance tissue vitality while preserving dynamic movement and achieving subtle, natural-looking results.
Materials / method: A review of current clinical approaches and treatment protocols for lip augmentation and rejuvenation was performed, focusing on the combined use of HA fillers, BoNT-A, and HTIC. Injection techniques, anatomical considerations, patient assessment, and safety principles were analyzed. Clinical cases demonstrating different treatment combinations and indications were included to illustrate practical application in daily aesthetic practice. Special attention was given to regenerative protocols using HTIC for improvement of lip texture, hydration, elasticity, and perioral dermal support.
Results: Combination treatment approaches integrating HA, BoNT-A, and HTIC demonstrated improved aesthetic outcomes characterized by natural lip enhancement, balanced projection, refined contour, and improved perioral skin quality. HTIC-based biostimulation contributed to enhanced tissue quality, increased dermal support, and improved lip vitality without excessive volumization. Patients showed high satisfaction with subtle and authentic results that preserved facial harmony and dynamic expression. Combination protocols also appeared to improve treatment longevity and overall rejuvenation outcomes.
Conclusion: The integration of volumizing, neuromodulating, and regenerative techniques represents a modern evolution in lip aesthetics. Combining HA fillers, BoNT-A, and HTIC allows practitioners to move beyond traditional augmentation toward a more holistic and biologically oriented approach. HTIC, in particular, offers a promising regenerative strategy for improving tissue quality and supporting natural lip rejuvenation. Personalized treatment protocols based on anatomical precision and regenerative principles can achieve harmonious, subtle, and natural, long-lasting aesthetic outcomes.
