Objectives: Understanding this new technology of Human Growth Factors and Cytokines in Skin Rejuvenation

Introduction: Maintaining a healthy and vital skin for many years is currently one of the main challenges of regenerative and anti-aging medicine. During the last 2 decades products containing bio-signals of human origin derived from adipocytes, bone marrow, and umbilical cells have been studied. In the same way, kits are available to produce autologous PRP as well as plant growth factors.

Results: Numerous studies have shown the value of topical bio-signals in the improvement of the health and appearance of aged skin when used in conjunction with procedures such as microneedling or fractionated laser resurfacing.

Conclusion: An in-depth knowledge of the role of cytokines and growth factors as bio-signals, as well as the products currently available, will allow the doctor to discern on the best alternative for the prevention and treatment of aged skin.
