Objectives: O principal objetivo desse estudo é descrever uma abordagem pessoal da plicatura do músculo obliquo externo que proporciona uma melhor definição da cintura abdominal com maior grau de satisfação dos pacientes a médio e longo prazo.

Introduction: A busca por um contorno corporal harmônico está cada vez maior no imaginário feminino. Abdômens com protuberância por depósitos gordurosos ou excesso de flacidez, pregas cutâneas demasiadas e redução da curvatura da cintura são as principais queixas das pacientes que procuram por uma plástica de abdômen. De forma geral a abdominoplastia consiste na ressecção do excesso de pele e gordura da parede abdominal, e principalmente o reposicionamento muscular através de plicaturas com finalidade de restabelecer um contorno corporal mais harmonioso.

Materials / method: Trabalho realizado com a coleta de dados de pacientes submetidos a abdominoplastia, com o objetivo de mostrar o benefício proporcionado no contorno corporal quando se associa à plicatura dos retos a dos músculo obliquo externo do abdome.

Results: A abdominoplastia tem um padrão de plicatura da bainha do reto abdominal fazendo com que haja a aproximação dos músculos retos, melhorando assim o contorno abdominal. Em todos os pacientes operados foi utilizado a técnica pelo qual se realiza a plicatura dos músculos oblíquos externos com o objetivo de reforçar e melhorar a definição da cintura levando assim uma melhora no resultado geral do contorno corporal.
Após o uso dessa técnica, foi possível notar uma melhora visual da cintura já no intra- operatório com aprovação dos pacientes no pós operatório precoce e tardio.

Conclusion: Levando em consideração todos dados coletados e apresentados, tivemos como conclusão a grande eficácia na utilização da técnica da plicatura dos músculos oblíquos externos com o objetivo de reforço extra à parede abdominal e também na melhor definição da cintura.
Os resultados apresentados nesse articulo confirma que a cirurgia de abdominoplastia com plicatura do músculo obliquo externo que vem sendo realizada em todos os nossos pacientes desde abril de 2022, mostraram melhores resultados em relação a técnica tradicional de plicatura, com alto grau de satisfação em todos os pacientes.
