Objectives: To recognize the availability of IMCAS ALERT as an excellent tool for Lasers and EBDs complications or inquiries.

Introduction: IMCAS ALERT: Alert allows you to receive expert advice on complications, cases or procedures in two easy steps. First, simply select the topic in which your case belongs. Then, submit your case anonymously. Your case will then be visible to the IMCAS Academy community of experts for them to answer.
Going through the presented cases and the discussions around each case is a learning experience by itself which enhances the knowledge of physicians and helps in improving the standards of patients care in our field.

Objectives: Herpes of the face post fractional CO2 Laser

Introduction: We present the case of a 32- year-old lady who is looking for a « makeover ». We proposed her a session of Fractional CO2 Laser with 10 mj / Mtz

Materials / method: After the session, she didn’t use a corticosteroid topical but just an emollient.
Two days after the treatment, she developed a cutaneous reaction all over the face and eventhough on the not-treated areas. We diagnosed a viral herpes because of the vesicles and in emergency we prescribe Aciclovir 200mg 2tablets every 8 hours.
The evolution was favorable after 3 days of treatment with Aciclovir.
She completely recovered by additional LED treatment : She had 2 LED sessions per week 4 weeks along.

Conclusion: We would like to remind the assistence that any laser-treatement could be invasive. You have to pay intention and search any risk of allergies or herpetic history. Avoid the systematically prescribing of topical corticosteroid after any laser procedure and do not hesitate to prescribe systematically an antiviral before and after fracional Co2- laser treatment.
