Introduction: With so many clinics offering aesthetics treatments and services today in every market, each patient counts. It is standard practice in other forms of service industries to upsell customers; for example, adding additional services and products to a sale to gain a higher ticket price. Aesthetic clinics that are thriving in a competitive environment have learned how to master these skills. These tactics ideally should begin at the first point of contact with patients by introducing the concepts of stages of prevention, maintenance, and correction with recommendations for each individual patient.
Materials / method: Specific tactics shall be presented with step by step instructions for implementation so that attendees will understand how to adapt these proven tactics into their own clinics if and when they are ready. The presenter will demonstrate how these tactics can work in any aesthetic clinic and can be modified to the specific market, patient demographic, and practitioner's business model.
Results: Practitioners shall learn what other clinics are doing to generate increased revenue without having to spend heavily on marketing and public relations to constantly attract a new stream of patients, but rather to focus on their current patients and raise the average amount they spend within the clinic.
Conclusion: In the competitive aesthetic market, patients are getting information from multiple sources and have a lot of choices in terms of products, services, practitioners, treatments and the experience they are seeking. This lecture shall be designed to be eye opening for global clinics and present fresh ideas for how to make their clinics more profitable while maintaining ethical business standards.
