V-Lifting technique: an anatomy-led, deep-plane approach to structural facial contouring

Objetivos: The aim of this study is to describe an innovative hyaluronic acid-based injection technique called “V-lifting” for non-surgical facial lifting. Introducción: When we observe a face, one of the first aspects that stands out is the definition of its lines and proportions. A pleasant contour is indeed essential in the perception of overall facial harmony. For this reason, non-surgical facial lifting is now one of the most requested treatments by both men and women of all ages. Materiales / método: A total of 100 patients (74 women and 26 men) with moderate tissue laxity were treated. Moderate malar ptosis (Teoscale MVDS) and mild loss of facial contour definition (Teoscale JAS) were observed. The treatment was performed using 1.2 ml of a hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal filler with patented RHA technology, 25 mg/ml concentration, high G prime, and a medium-high degree of cross-linking (MoD 10%). The technique involves multiple injection points using a multi-bolus method in the temporo-mandibular area with a 25 G needle. Resultados: With just one session, the V-lifting technique resulted in a noticeable improvement of the entire orbito-malar area. Specifically, all patients showed a 2-point elevation of the zygomatic region (on the Teoscale MVDS), a lifting of the periocular area, and a 2-point redefinition of facial contours and the mandibular angle (on the Teoscale JAS). Side effects were minimal and transient (bruising, mild edema). No serious complications occurred. Conclusión: The injection technique represents a safe, effective, and well-tolerated alternative for non-surgical facial lifting. The V-Lifting technique can be considered the contouring of aesthetic medicine, capable of giving the face three-dimensionality with an immediate lifting effect and high patient satisfaction.
