Profiloplasty based on thread methods and products, the art of minimizing of filler injection

Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of thread(products and methods) in nonsurgical Profiloplasty to improve results and reduce complications by minimizing amount of injectables.

Introduction: Recently, we are beginning to see the re-emergence of interest for cosmetic procedures, particularly non-invasive ones which tend to be less costly procedurally and with minimal downtime. Regarding byword “as less filler as possible”, effectiveness of combination therapy and diversity of threads and methods, we conducted a pilot study to evaluate safety and efficacy of thread products and methods in profile aesthetics (Profiloplasty), by eliminating the defects in the side view of the person with respect to the gender of the patient, with 20 volunteers from different countries.

Materials / method: 20 volunteers,3 men and 17 women, between 35 to75 years old in 3 sessions:
-In first session to correct of ptosis (midface, lower face and eyebrow) and cheeks Profiloplasty we used of different type of P(LA/CL) threads.
-In second session: six weeks after first session,we used P(LA/CL) or PCL threads to correct angles between forehead, nose, lip, chin and neck, shape and fullness of lips.
-In third session: six weeks after second session, to improve results, we injected reputed high quality HA or collagen stimulator fillers in maximum amount 2cc.
- All of cases followed for 12 months

Results: All of cases followed for 12 months (after third session), to be scored based on Global Aesthetic Improvement Scales (GAIS), in the end of 6th and 12th months. we found out acceptable agreement for improvement degree of patients between surgeon and independent surgeon and patients.(valuable P values and Cohen's kappa Coefficients).

Conclusion: Regarding primary data of our pilot study (to be continued up to 50 volunteers), seemingly thread products and methods could be effective in Profiloplasty in combination of other noninvasive and small invasive methods, to increase efficacy and safety of relevant procedures.

Objectives: Synthesis of collagen in skin reduces with age. People are looking for maintaining their young look and preserving beauty longer. With aging there is uneven ptosis of tissues, skin laxity, thinning of subcutaneous fat layers, volume loss and tissue sagging. The popularity of minimally invasive non-surgical aesthetic procedures worldwide continues to grow. The patients are seeking for safe and effective treatments with minimal downtime. There is a new trend of non-surgical body rejuvenation. Here we present our “hybrid” combinative therapy for obtaining skin quality, skin thickness and lifting

Introduction: The Hybrid lift non-surgical procedure is the combination of Poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) /Poly-Caprolactone (PCL) anti-ptosis threads and injectable Poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) filler for body contouring and rejuvenation of buttocks, abdomen, upper arms, thighs, knees, and hands.

Materials / method: The combinative therapy in one session or separate sessions. That way we are able to obtain skin quality, volume and mechanical lifting in the same time. The simultaneous action of collagen stimulation gives better outcomes regarding skin quality and lifting.

Results: Suitable for collagen stimulating products are different body areas – arms, legs, gluteal and abdominal area. In some cases the surgical therapy is not a standard first line treatment. With this combinative therapy we are able to obtain visual changes that reflect the skin quality and sagging. This offers a non-surgical opportunity with great aesthetic clinical outcome and patient satisfaction.

Conclusion: Non-surgical rejuvenation of the body is continuing to increase. The main volumizing products that we use are resorbable fillers, such as collagen stimulators. For obtaining mechanical lifting and repositioning of the soft tissues our main products are resorbable threads.
Thead lifting procedures have a long history of application, regarding early and moderate signs of ageing.
With our combinative therapy we are able to achieve great results in one session and the results are long lasting.

Combined treatment of submental area: liposuction and thread lifting (in one session)

Objectives: The submental area is a problematic part of the face due to the volume of fat tissue and lack of skin laxity, which can be bothersome for patients. Therefore, treatments in this area are in high demand.

Introduction: Critical part of the face because of excessive volume of adiposu tissue is submental area. The combination as liposuction and thread lifting provide an effective solution with short recovalescnece

Materials / method: We combine liposuction and thread lifting methods to correct the submental area. This approach effectively reduce fat tissue and lift the subcutaneous soft tissue in the submental area. Absorbable barbed threads are used to secure the lifted tissue.

Results: The treatment improves skin quality and strengthened it. It avoides the need for more invasive surgical procedures with longer recovery periods. The majority of patients were satisfied with the results, and no further corrections were necessary. This combination treatment effectively reduces the volume of a double chin, improves skin laxity, and contoures the jawline. It provides long-lasting results and enhances the overall appearance of the jawline and neck.

Conclusion: The right combination of treatments is crucial for achieving optimal results. Liposuction of the submental area reduces the volume of fat, while thread lifting ensures a tightening effect. This treatment is also preferable among patients due to its shorter recovery time.
