Objectives: Evidence shows a more natural result and the options to reduce implant volume and by this complication-rate of breast implants combining implant based breast augmentation with autologous fat grafting. We show the evolution of our supercharged breast augmentation protocol during the last 8 years and the advantages due to implimitation of EVL (expansion vibration lipofilling)
Materials / method: We re-evaluated our technical approach to supercharged breast augmentation surgery on the basis of over 800 cases.
The presentation provides a systematic overview of the chosen technique and its combination of a breast augmentation with multilayer EVL-fatgrafting as well as a review of achieved benefits, difficulties and complications we encountered as well as advantages in our approach.
Results: Fat grafting alone, especially using the Water Jetstream assisted protocols, is more and more becoming a standard in modern plastic surgery.
Results are extremely natural regarding esthetic appeal and however it has some shortcomings with view to achievable bigger volume increase.
Silicone implants are still the most common method of choice for breast augmentation
The combination of both techniques, silicone gel implant and fat grafting, yields more natural and more aesthetic results, especially in the cleavage area. Implementing the EVL technique is giving a better take rate of the grafted fa
Conclusion: The combination of silicone implant breast augmentation with autologous EVL fat transfer synergistically combines the advantages of both procedures. Here we show some tricks and advantages in our approach.
Both, surgeons and patients, are rewarded with superior results without additional recovery.
