Introduction: Social media has changed the world by changing the way people communicate. If we look back 20 years the printed media as magazines and Television was the main influences of people and our patients. This has changed with the widespread impact of social media to all ages and regions around the world.
Materials / method: Aesthetic procedures noninvasive, minimal invasive and surgery differ from other medical procedures. When a patient gets ill they seek help to resolve a problem, in most countries the patient doesn’t choose their doctor or hospital but is rather directed by geography to a specific hospital. That is very different for the aesthetic patient. The aesthetic patients doesn’t have a problem to solve but rather a dream they want to fulfill, giving the aesthetic patients high expectations.

Results: Social media has widely contributed to the growth of aesthetic procedures. It is today more accepted in many cultures to not only rejuvenate but also to change or beautify your self through different aesthetic procedures.
We can see how more and more younger patients is coming to our clinics for aesthetic treatments. With the surgical procedure Brazilian Buttlift, which is the most growing surgical procedure, we can see a direct relationship to media impact by celebrities as the Kardashians.
