Objectives: We have studied more than 700 different skulls at the Anthropologic Department of the Brazilian Civil Police for this current abstract. The most common dimorphism gender signs were examined and reinforced in the three-thirds of the face.
In all of them, we should respect these differences to deliver a natural result to our patients.
Introduction: If we want to give our patients the best treatment option and with a very natural result, we should understand what is happening in all the regions of the face regarding the aging process and the signs that will differentiate them.
The forehead, supraorbital ridge, zygoma, mandible, and chin are regions with many dimorphisms and should always be treated differently.
Materials / method: More them 700 skulls were selected at the Anthropology Department of the Civil Police in the State of Minas Gerais, Brazil. With these skulls, we could further study all the signs that differentiate men from women and prove the need for different techniques, approaches, and gels of Hyaluronic Acid to treat them.
Besides that, the skulls were divided into different age groups (up to 20 years old, from 20 to 50, and above 50's) to also study the aging process on bone.
Results: Understanding the bone remodeling in each of the structures of the face and what differentiates the bone in both genders is paramount to have a good and natural outcome using injectables.
Conclusion: Take all the anthropological measures and tips into consideration if you want to provide natural and masculine results when treating a male patient.
