Dr. Robert A. Weiss is the Director of MD Laser Skin & Vein Institute. He is a former Associate Professor of Dermatology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Dr. Weiss is currently the President of the ASLMS (American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery) where he previously served on the Board of Directors.  He served as President of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS) from 2008 - 2009.  He is currently very active in teaching for ASDS, AAD and ASLMS.  

Dr. Weiss' education included residency in dermatology at the Johns Hopkins University after graduating from Columbia University and the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (1978).  Additional fellowship training at the National Institutes of Health in dermatologic research followed.  Board-certified, he has been a featured speaker for the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery for over 20 years, as well as speaking to many other national and international dermatology and cosmetic organizations and societies.  He has received numerous international awards of recognition.
