Objectives: Bad Scars is the most obvious complication patients could have after any surgical procedure. This comes to be very critical when it has to do with the general area and even more critical in female genital surgery. The multi task organs in that area could be affected or even seriously damaged if a wrong technique have been used. Our main objective here is to show the professionals involved in this topic how to deal with eliminating the scars during surgeries. Also how to deal with existing scars after bad surgeries.
Introduction: Comprehensive overview of scars formation in genitalia. Understanding differences in healing process from other body tissue. Explanation of the relation between functionality and possible scar formation in the specific part of the body. Showing tips and trick to avoid obvious scars.
Materials / method: Techniques, technologies and materials used for minimal scars. Overviewing the variable ways of wound closing during genital surgeries. Showing the best way to deliver minimal scar results.
Results: Extended review and case studies to show results of procedures with the wrong and with the correct techniques.
Conclusion: The genital area is functional and extremely sensitive. Performing surgical procedures specially for aesthetic reasons has to be with care and extreme courtesy. Female could suffer pain for life if the wrong techniques have been used. Surgeons have to consider additional methods to enhance the scar and to offer better quality of life for their patients.
