Objectives: The primary objective is to present a comprehensive protocol, developed from clinical experience and supported by recent innovations, specifically designed to optimize both the immediate lifting effect and the long-term outcomes of thread lifting treatments.
Introduction: Thread lifting is a popular minimally invasive technique in aesthetic medicine, known for its immediate results. However, the consistency of its long-term outcomes and lifting effects often varies. This work, drawing on over 15 years of clinical experience and international training in absorbable threads, aims to identify key factors that contribute to the longevity and success of these procedures.
Materials / method: A structured clinical approach was developed, encompassing four key areas:
1. Patient assessment: This includes evaluating age, lifestyle, genetic, and connective tissue factors, along with a simple thumb flexibility test.
2. Preparation: This involves skin conditioning through hormonal support, collagen stimulation, PRP, HA biostimulation, and botulinum toxin.
3. Procedure tips: This covers the choice of insertion layer, treatment of multiple anatomical areas, utilization of advanced thread designs, and combination therapies
4. Post-treatment care
Results: The implementation of this comprehensive protocol has yielded positive clinical outcomes, including improved patient satisfaction, enhanced lifting effects, and notably longer-lasting results, often extending beyond 18–24 months. The integration of connective tissue evaluation and a multimodal preparation strategy proved particularly effective in patient selection and in improving the predictability of results.
Conclusion: Long-term success in thread lifting is achieved through a multidimensional approach. This begins with meticulous patient assessment, continues through precise procedural techniques, and is completed with thoughtful aftercare. By incorporating the latest advancements in thread technology with regenerative and rehabilitative strategies, practitioners can significantly enhance both the quality and duration of thread lifting outcomes.
