The "Other AI" and How it Has Fueled our Practice's Growth Trajectory
Objectives: Today, aesthetic practices around the globe are embracing the benefits of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and deploying more and more of these tools to increase efficiency and minimize employee workload. While many predict that AI will ultimately replace the need for certain roles within an aesthetic practice, in this talk I will make the case for leveraging a hospitality mindset. The primary objective/learning outcomes of my talk will be to convince attendees not to overlook the power of "Authentic Interactions" and how they can make patients and fellow team members feel seen and valued.
Introduction: Artificial Intelligence (AI) is all the rage these days and one of today's hottest trends in the aesthetic medicine space. While there is an absolutely indisputable benefit of incorporating AI and machine learning technologies into certain facets of an aesthetic practice, the value of old-fashioned, genuine human connection in driving the success of a practice cannot be underscored. In this talk, I will hone in on what we like to call the "other AI" in our practice which stands for "Authentic Interactions," and serves as the bedrock that our practice culture was ultimately built upon.

Results: I hope to convince attendees that Artificial Intelligence will not be able to solve all of the problems in their practices nor improve the overall patient & employee experiences. Additionally, I intend to help them recognize that patients are not loyal to their practice simply for the efficacious & transformational treatments they offer, but for the way they are made to feel in every aspect of their visit. The same goes for the ability to retain loyal employees - it's not only about collecting a paycheck but also feeling like a valued contributor. This is the power of Authentic Interactions.
Conclusion: This unique spin on AI should resonate with practice owners and administrators as I share the stories from our own practice that serve to prove the power and benefits of making meaningful efforts to cultivate lasting relationships with patients and team members through Authentic Interactions (AI). This will likely be the only AI-focused talk that doesn't promote the adoption of Artificial Intelligence tools as a winning strategy.
