Introduction: While women represent the largest proportion of aesthetic medicine patients, recent reports demonstrate more and more men are opting for aesthetic procedures. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) men accounted for around 8% of the total cosmetic procedures in 2020. Sharing our experience with male patients can improve our knowledge and experience to maximize the satisfaction of our clients
Materials / method: In this presentation, I will review the market of male clients in aesthetes medicine and the new changes in trends with focus on new articles and publications.
I will discuss the difference in managing, making treatment plan and injection technique differences following by some videos of my techniques. I will also discuss the differences in aging changes.
Results: The aesthetic market for male clients is growing and we are expecting to be much more involved in the treatment of male patients Due to the differences between female and male clients in terms of anatomy, physiology, aging changes ,psychology and expectations improving our knowledge and experience along with educating our patients is a key of a successful practice
Conclusion: While the specialism of aesthetic medicine has traditionally focused on treating female patients, an emerging body of literature is acknowledging a growing demand for procedures for male patients. Developing an awareness of gender-specific preferences, as well as facial dimorphism, is important to achieve successful treatment outcomes in male patients. The literature to date confirms the approaches and knowledge required to adequately select and provide a variety of aesthetic procedures to meet the needs of aesthetic male patients.
