Objectives: The techniques to revolutionize the trend of lip filler injections, steering away from exaggerated fullness towards a more natural and subtle aesthetic. Introduction: Lip filler injections have gained immense popularity in Thailand, with a previous trend favoring larger lips as the epitome of attractiveness. However, a shift in preferences towards a more natural appearance has emerged. This presentation aims to showcase a technique that mitigates the risk of achieving the undesirable "duck lip" effect. Materials / method: The approach involves a meticulous application using a cannula of size no. 25. Focusing on the par marginalis muscle, the filler is strategically placed to prevent undesirable spreading, a common cause of the duck lip phenomenon. Careful consideration is given to the choice of filler with low G' (shear modulus), initiating the process with a modest 1-syringe (1 cc) quantity applied superficially. Conclusion: This refined technique aims to revolutionize the trend of lip filler injections, steering away from exaggerated fullness towards a more natural and subtle aesthetic.
