Objectives: To describe and summarize current management paradigms for delayed inflammatory reactions from fillers Introduction: Delayed inflammatory reactions (DIRs) from fillers are a problem faced by many injectors during their career. There is still a lot of controversy as to the cause of these. This talk will try to summarize the current schools of thought on diagnosis and management of DIRs. Materials / method: A talk that provides a literature review and personal experience. Also summarizes the experiences of users on the IMCAS Alert forum. A pertinent case will be used to launch the discussion. Results: Pertinent case summary and discussion. Conclusion: Several mechanisms have been postulated for the evolution of DIRs. A summary of etiological factors and management algorithms will be presented through the discussion of a case recently submitted on the forum.
