Use of green laser for non invasive body contouring: My experience
Objectives: The demand for non invasive body countouring modalities has been increasing over the last decade . People are desirous of looking slimmer and more toned without going under the knife especially over the last decade . Multiple technologies have been introduced and have evolved and been upgraded . One of the newer technologies that is being explored is the 532 nm green laser light . We at our clinic Alive wellness have used it for a wide range of people from fleeing in age snd BMI . Here I would like to share our experiences and results
Introduction: Body contouring is shaping the body to a aesthetically appealing appearance, Determinants of Body Shape are Skin,Fat,Muscle and Bone. When choosing a modality we need to assess and work on all these determinants as required.Non-invasive body sculpting has many options and it helps to eliminate excess fat,get rid of lose skin and develop and strengthen the muscles. Green laser is a low-level diode laser. It is non-invasive, light-based technology used for large area fat reduction. We at our clinic used 532nm laser
Materials / method: We used 532nm green light diode laser. This penetrates the skin and is absorbed by the subcutaneous fat layers. It induces photo-biomodulation, causing the adipocytes to release stored triglycerides into the extra cellular space which break down to fatty acids and glycerol and are metabolized by the liver and eventually excreted by the body through natural processes like urination or perspiration. This reduction in intracellular fat leads to a decrease in the overall volume of the fat cells, resulting in inch loss and a reduction in body circumference.
Results: Typically, 6-10 sessions are required for optimal results. Green Laser does not destroy the fat cells but rather reduces their size. This means that the cells remain intact and healthy, avoiding the risks associated with fat cell death, such as fibrosis, scarring or other complications that can occur with more invasive fat reduction methods. This reduction in intracellular fat leads to a decrease in the overall volume of the fat cells, resulting in inch loss and a reduction in body circumference
Conclusion: As per my experience the 532 nm low-level diode laser represents a promising technology for non-invasive fat reduction resulting in reduction of body circujmference.Proper patient selection, adherence to protocols, lifestyle modification can significantly enhance outcomes. Combination of green light laser with other modalities create synergistic effects, leading to better results than individual treatment.Continued research and clinical validation will further refine this technology’s role in aesthetic medicine.
