Face and neck lift: Synergistic combination treatment of endo radiofrequency and liposuction
Objectives: The purpose of this study is to observe the clinical effect and safety of liposuction combined with Endo Radiofrequency on face and neck contouring under local anesthesia, and the outcome compared with liposuction alone.
Introduction: Increasingly, patients are seeking for minimally invasive or non invasive procedures to tighten skin, treating rhytids and remodel adipose tissue, to ensure a facial and neck rejuvenation with minimal downtime. The liposuction ensure the removal of excess adipose tissue and a mild degree of tightening. Materials / method: 4 female patients and 1 male patient, of variable age ranging from 43 to 67, underwent a 2-step combination treatment in which Endo Radiofrequency is applied after liposuction. The area of the treatment was prepared with a tumescent infiltration using classical Klein solution 20 minutes prior to the procedure. The liposuction was performed using a 1,5-2mm two holes standard cannula. Results: All patients were followed up for a minimum of 6 months. The mean amount of fat aspirated was 15 mL. No side effects were reported after the procedure except for mild edema and bruises that resolved within a week. Based on the GAIS scale a “marked improvement” 6 months post procedure were found in all of the patients.
Conclusion: In appropriately patients, Endo Radiofrequency combined with liposuction for neck and face contouring represent a safe procedure to achieve significant improvement of the skin laxity and fat deposits of cheeks and jowls and a decrease in the cervicomental angle.
