Objectives: After attending this lecture, attendees will be exposed to the latest developments in combination treatments to improve pathological scars using 1064-nm fractional picosecond lasers according to the LIOB technique in association with other innovative strategies Introduction: Fractional 1064-nm picosecond lasers can be successfully used to re-modulate scar tissue concentrating photoacoustic effects within dermal layers preserving epidermis when LIOB technique is used. Materials / method: Pertinent literature research and comparison with three years personal experience Results: See conclusions Conclusion: The innovative LIOB technique confirmed its innovative approach to successfully soften pathological scars such as keloids and hypertrophic alterations avoiding photo-thermal tissue effects
