Objectives: To Explore and integrate new and emerging technologies in scar management, such as stem cell therapy, PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma), Chromatherapy, and innovative laser therapies and many more, to improve healing outcomes.
Introduction: Scars of whatever nature is aesthetically unsightly. It often presents a decrease of self-esteem to a person. Unfortunately, it is prevalent all over the globe. The Philippines is one of many countries with a scar-stricken population.
Nowadays, many options are available for the treatment of scarring, including chemical peeling, dermabrasion, laser treatment, punch techniques, fat transplantation, other tissue augmenting agents, needling, subcision, and many combined therapies. Results: This lecture will tackle various types of scars from which it may be useful for selecting the best therapeutic strategy, whether it be single or combined therapy while reducing or avoiding the side effects and complications.
