Objectives: Botulinum Toxin A has been widely used for cosmetic indcations world over . As we all know that it started as a drug for treating strabismus and migraine and its cosmetic applications we discovered incidentally.This presentations brings forth the medical indications for which botilinum toxin is presently being used and the possible newer indications that are being researched . Introduction: Botilinum toxin is the true wonder drug of he century . It has multiple indications and new ones are being discovered . It has applcations in ophthalamology, neurology , dermatology , aesthetic cosmetology , gyaneacology .The non cosmetic indications are many - hyperhidrosis , scar healing , post traumatic scars , acne scars , keloids , strictures ,hypertrophic scars , myofacial pains , migraine , bells palsy , spasticity etc . research and studies are being conducted to explore its use in depression and mood disorders and hair disorders. Materials / method: In our clinical practice at Alive Wellness Clinics in New Delhi India we use botilinum toxin A alone or in combination with other modalities to treat hyperhidrosis, ,expedite healing of post traumatic and surgical scars ,kelods , hypertrophic scars , myofacial pains, migraine .In hyperhidrosis we follow a 4 monthly protocol .;for scar healing we use low doze 1-2 monthy protocol.In this presentatiin i show the treatment pointsfor various indications Results: Results and outcomes vary depending ont he indication. In hyperhidrosis the results are very satisfyind and directly measurable . Wherever botilinim toxin is used as as support to the healing process as in scars it hastens the healing . Conclusion: Botilinum Toxin is the Wonder Drug of the century . Based on its mechanism of action newer medical and cosmetic indications have been discovered and rearch is going on in finding novel applications that will add value to life
