How to achieve the best result in aesthetic lip correction: from anatomy to precision technique
Objectives: Objective
This study aims to evaluate lip proportions and demonstrate how to correct thin lips through a dynamic and balanced reshaping technique—classified as either Plump or Soft—to achieve results that appear naturally harmonious.
Introduction: Introduction
Lip enhancement is among the most popular aesthetic procedures, particularly favored by Millennials—especially when addressing naturally thin lips. A major priority for this demographic is achieving results that avoid an artificial appearance, favoring instead a soft and natural finish. Millennials are drawn to subtle, nearly imperceptible treatments that enhance their features while preserving their individuality. The advent of dynamic hyaluronic acid fillers now enables practitioners to respond effectively to this growing preference for authenticity.
Materials / method: The research involves an analysis of lip morphology and introduces an innovative treatment protocol using dynamic hyaluronic acid-based fillers with PNT technology. Two formulations (23 mg/ml, MoD 3.1 and 3.6%) were selected based on the specific aesthetic goals of each patient, allowing for either a subtle refinement or a more voluminous enhancement. The procedure was documented through video recordings of the injection techniques and photographic evidence of the outcomes.
Results: The author shares their personal method for treating thin lips, including practical advice, technical insights, and the aesthetic results obtained.
Conclusion: Today’s patients seek lips that are full, well-contoured, and in balance with their facial features, in line with current beauty standards. Thanks to their unique rheological characteristics, dynamic fillers provide soft, expressive volume that adapts naturally to facial movements. This makes them particularly effective in enhancing the delicate nuances of a smile—details that might be lost when using more rigid fillers, especially in the case of thin lips.
