A reasonable combination of EBD and PLLA in aesthetic medicine
Objectives: Consider the criteria for a reasonable combination of EBD and PLLA injections
Introduction: The combination of the regenerative action of EBD with biostimulants can greatly enhance the stimulating effect on extracellular matrix proteins. To date, there is insufficient evidence on the mutual influence of the physical factor and the injection agent. The sequence and time intervals between interventions should exclude their interaction. 13. If treatment planning is inadequate, crystallization of PLLA is possible under thermal influence, changing the process of its biodegradation. Also subclinical inflammation can increase under the influence of a physical factor.
Materials / method: The focus is on the necessary time interval for planning subsequent EBD interventions after PLLA injections and the possibility of performing this modalities in a single session.
The interaction of the physical and injection agent will depend on several groups of factors. The type of physical impact, the depth of its implementation and the integrity of the skin surface. The next group of factors are the characteristics of the injectable product, in particular PLLA. The third group is the patient's characteristics.
Results: The possibility of combining PLLA with EBD is based on a deep understanding and analysis of the principles of interaction of the injection and physical agent with biological tissues. Different PLLA products have different biodegradation times, efficacy and safety profiles, which must be taken into account in practical work
Conclusion: The use of PLLA in complex and hybrid protocols using EBD is a promising direction in achieving a synergistic effect. It is necessary to be guided by the safest scenario when planning the timing of the intervention.
