Post-acne hyperpigmentation: minimally invasive solutions with glutathione-responsive peptides
Objectives: Post-acne hyperpigmentation (PAH) is common, especially in darker phototypes, where persistent inflammation-induced pigment impacts quality of life. Traditional options often face safety and efficacy limits. Glutathione-responsive peptides, delivered through marine spicules acting as natural micro-needles, enable targeted antioxidant action and controlled release, enhancing penetration and tolerability. This lecture will review pathophysiology, unmet needs, and how this innovative system offers safer, minimally invasive, and effective solutions for PAH.
