How and when to combine hyaluronic acid, calcium hydroxyapatite and polylactic acid in buttock augmentation
Objectives: Buttock augmentation is one of the fastest-growing procedures in the world. Hyaluronic acid, calcium hydroxyapatite, and polylactic acid are substances that act as fillers and/or biostimulants through different mechanisms of action. We will demonstrate how and when to combine them for best results.
Introduction: Buttock augmentation is one of the fastest-growing procedures in the world. Hyaluronic acid, calcium hydroxyapatite, and polylactic acid are substances that act as fillers and/or biostimulants through different mechanisms of action. We will demonstrate how and when to combine them for best results.
Materials / method: Over the past ten years, we have treated 120 patients with a combination of hyaluronic acid, calcium hydroxyapatite, and polylactic acid. Our goal is to demonstrate how to combine these substances in the most effective way.
Results: All of our treated patients had a high satisfaction rate. When the main objective was buttock augmentation and cellulite treatment, the combination of hyaluronic acid and calcium hydroxyapatite was performed simultaneously. When the main objective was to treat sagging skin, polylactic acid was used two months after or before the other fillers.
Conclusion: The combination of hyaluronic acid, calcium hydroxyapatite, and polylactic acid is the safest and most effective alternative for buttock augmentation, treatment of sagging skin, and cellulite management. Good results depend on the objective, the amount injected, the layer to be treated, and how the three substances are combined. We will demonstrate our experience and results.
