Beyond the syringe: the science and art of bio-remodelling in skin aging
Objectives: This presentation aims to explore the synergistic roles of these bioactive agents in aesthetic treatments, highlighting their mechanisms of action and their collective potential for long-term rejuvenation. The goal is to demonstrate a shift from temporary volume correction to sustainable skin health through cellular regeneration.
Introduction: In contemporary aesthetic practice, the focus has shifted from superficial correction to deep biological restoration. While dermal fillers have long been the cornerstone of facial rejuvenation, regenerative medicine now offers a more nuanced approach. Bio-remodelling, a strategy aimed at stimulating the skin’s intrinsic regenerative potential, emphasizes enhancing skin architecture, function, and vitality at the cellular level. The integration of bioactive compounds such as polynucleotides, exosomes, skin boosters, biofillers, and Poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) offers a more comprehensive solution
Materials / method: Bioactive compounds like polynucleotides, exosomes, skin boosters, biofillers, and PLLA offer regenerative and rejuvenating benefits. Clinical protocols combining these agents target aging at multiple levels, from fine lines to structural volume loss. Polynucleotides boost fibroblast activity and collagen; exosomes deliver growth factors for texture and angiogenesis; skin boosters improve hydration; biofillers provide subtle volume and collagen stimulation; and PLLA promotes deep tissue regeneration and volume restoration.
Results: The combination of these agents provided a multi-layered approach to treating skin aging. Patients reported improvements in skin texture, tone, and elasticity, as well as a natural restoration of facial volume. Clinical results showed significant improvements in the appearance of fine lines, crepey skin, and overall skin health, with sustained effects from PLLA and biofillers. The use of exosomes in conjunction with energy-based devices enhanced skin regeneration and radiance. Skin boosters proved effective in maintaining skin quality, particularly in younger patients or as a priming treatment
Conclusion: Bio-remodelling represents a paradigm shift in aesthetic practice, moving beyond static correction toward dynamic skin health. By integrating biologically intelligent tools such as polynucleotides, exosomes, skin boosters, biofillers, and PLLA, clinicians can achieve sustainable, long-term results. This approach not only addresses volume loss but also promotes skin regeneration and vitality, ensuring that patients age better, not just look better. The evolving science of bio-remodelling empowers practitioners to deliver personalized, holistic care with lasting rejuvenation
