2910 nm laser in asian skin: practical strategies for lifting, neck rejuvenation and enhanced post-laser recovery
Objectives: To evaluate the clinical utility of a 2910 nm cold fiber fractional laser with precise penetration and minimal thermal damage for skin tightening and rejuvenation. This study focuses on its application in nasolabial fold and neck line improvement in Asian patients, as well as strategies to enhance post-laser recovery and patient comfort.
Introduction: Energy-based devices have become essential tools for skin tightening and rejuvenation, offering alternatives to more invasive procedures. Fractional laser technology enables controlled dermal remodeling while preserving surrounding tissue, improving safety and recovery. The recent introduction of a 2910 nm cold fiber fractional laser allows for more precise tissue interaction with reduced thermal injury. This presentation highlights its clinical application in Asian skin, where minimizing post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and optimizing recovery are particularly important.
Materials / method: Patients were treated using a 2910 nm cold fiber fractional laser with multiple modes adapted to treatment goals. Ultra mode was applied for full-face and neck resurfacing, while Clear mode targeted superficial skin rejuvenation. A vector-based coring mode was used to enhance tissue contraction and tightening effects. A split-face design was employed to evaluate post-treatment recovery, with one side receiving adjunctive cooling and exosome-based therapy, while the contralateral side served as a control.
Results: Combined use of Ultra, Clear, and vector-based coring modes resulted in visible improvement in skin texture and tightening, particularly in the nasolabial folds and neck lines. Treatments were well tolerated, with minimal downtime and a low incidence of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. In split-face comparisons, the exosome-treated side demonstrated faster recovery, reduced erythema, and improved overall healing response compared to the control side, suggesting a beneficial role of adjunctive post-laser care.
Conclusion: The 2910 nm cold fiber fractional laser represents a precise and low-thermal approach for skin tightening and rejuvenation, particularly suitable for Asian skin. Its multi-modal design enables flexible and targeted treatment strategies for both facial and neck indications. The addition of optimized post-laser care, including exosome-based therapy, may further enhance recovery and clinical outcomes. This approach supports the integration of energy-based treatments with tailored post-procedure strategies to achieve safe and effective aesthetic results.
