Objectives: Age-related changes in the face result from skin thinning, loss of volume in fat compartments, loosening of the facial ligaments, and bone resorption. There is no single procedure that would allow to achieve comprehensive rejuvenation on every level. To restore age-related changes, it is necessary to improve skin quality, rebuild volume loss, and strengthen the facial ligaments.
Materials / method: A review of current literature on mesotheraphy with non-cross linked hyaluronic acid (nc-HA) and polymerised polynucleotides (PDRN), as well as non cross- linked hyaluronic acid (HA) was performed. Also, clinical cases of possible application of dermal fillers and skinboosters was done. The aim of this study was to discuss different techniques and possible indications for nc-HA, PDRN and HA.
Results: In the mesotherapy group, there were 2 patients treated with nc-HA acid and 7 with PDRN. There were 3 series of injections with a 3 weeks interval. In nc-HA a mean volume of product used during a procedure was 1 ml, while in PDRN 2 ml for session. The most commonly used technique was serial puncture. All patients were satisfied. No adverse side effects were reported
Conclusion: Skinboosters based on nc-HA and PDRN are safe and improve the skin quality
