Objectives: 1. Evaluate the volume loss & skin sagging in the mid-face

2. Evaluate the results of combined approach for the mid-face rejuvenation using filler & thread insertion

Introduction: When the mid-face contouring is done only by filler injections, the overcorrection is likely to happen. Therefore, it is necessary to reposition the drooped malar fat pad using threads before replacing volume in the mid-face to complete facial contouring.

Materials / method: I used an innovative PDO thread called 'Epiticon' which has a unique structure of cogs and a spring type coiled PDO thread called 'Epiticon Jamber'. I also combined HA filler with a powerful lifting capacity which is called 'e.p.t.q.'

Results: When HA filler injections are combined with PDO threads, a more natural & effective contouring result of the mid-face can be achieved.

Conclusion: Considerations of the harmony & balance of the face are essential to achieve successful facial contouring
