Objectives: Analyze the layered anatomy of the periorbital region in the process of aging, as well as determine the indications and contraindications for a particular method of rejuvenation of this area
Introduction: At all times,the periorbital region has attracted not only the attention of artists and sculptors,but also specialists in aesthetic medicine. Botulinum toxin got into cosmetology due to its "accidental" side effect in the form of smoothing wrinkles at the outer corners of the eyes.The market for products and all kinds of devices is large,and advertising promising "the look of a baby" captivates both doctors and patients. In the course of this work,we will determine which structures with aging are associated with specific clinical manifestations and will find optimal solution for its correction
Materials / method: This report analyzes the anatomy of the periorbital region with an emphasis on the structure of the ligamentous apparatus and its change during the aging process; surgical and non-surgical methods of rejuvenation of this area are presented on specific clinical examples with an analysis of possible complications and features of rehabilitation
Results: The report discussed such methods as: blepharoplasty with its possible options and complications, lipofilling, nanofet and the introduction of stromal-vascular fraction, laser ablative resurfacing, fractional lifting, the use of native collagen preparations and other modern methods of rejuvenation. Clinical cases of complications and methods of their prevention are presented, as well as attention is paid to methods of rehabilitation.
Conclusion: With knowledge of anatomy and understanding of the aging process, it is possible to effectively rejuvenate the periorbital region at all its levels, combining surgical and non-surgical methods of exposure.
