Objectives: The purpose of this presentation is to provide evidence-based medicine on their uses in aesthetic medicine

Introduction: The use of exosomes has increased significantly over the past several years in aesthetic medicine. There is a myriad of potential uses for these extracellular vesicles that promote intracellular communication.

Materials / method: Literature review looking at the current publications in the exosome space was used.

Results: At present, the current literature landscape for the use of exosomes in medical dermatology and aesthetics is small. The published data supports that wound healing is enhanced with the use of exosomes and that within aesthetics, procedures can heal faster than traditional therapy as well as accelerating hair growth in many individuals.

Conclusion: Exosomes have incredible potentials in dermatology and in aesthetic medicine. We must demand that appropriate clinical trials are performed to verify the current hype surrounding these products and determine how best to use them to benefit our patients.

Objectives: 1. To review the history of regenerative medicine in plastic surgery
2. To attempt to explain the differences in stem cells vs. exosomes
3. To outline the development of enzyme free Stromal Vascular Tissue

Introduction: The field of regenerative medicine in plastic surgery began with the identification of stem and regenerative cells in human fat. The field is progressing rapidly and as our understanding has improved, cell free therapies have emerged. This paper will summarize the early events in the field until the current moment.

Materials / method: Extensive review of the literature as well as global clinical experience with inform this review of regenerative medicine.

Results: Outcomes in fat grafting have improved markedly with the use of newer regenerative approaches. Early results with newer agents such as adipose derived exosomes and hybrasomes will be discussed.

Conclusion: Regenerative medicine is poised to become the fastest growing component of aesthetic medicine and surgery.
